Terms
Terms of service.
1. Platform role
Bringos is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects buyers with individual sellers who can source products locally and ship them across borders. Bringos is a facilitator. Bringos is not a shipper, importer, or merchant of record. Sellers operate as independent individuals and are responsible for the products they source and ship.
2. Escrow and payment
Buyer payments are held in escrow by Bringos' payment processor (Stripe). Funds are captured when the seller uploads a purchase receipt. Funds are released to the seller when the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 21 days after delivery if the buyer does not respond.
Bringos fees are charged only on completed transactions: 3% from the buyer, 5% from the seller (reduced to 3% for Pro sellers, waived entirely during the seller's free month).
3. Seller obligations
Sellers agree to upload a legible photo of the purchase receipt, a photo of the product, a photo of the packaged product, and a valid shipping tracking number. Receipt upload must occur within 48 hours of claim. The item must be shipped within 7 days of receipt upload.
4. Buyer obligations
Buyers agree to confirm delivery within 21 days of the carrier marking the shipment delivered. Buyers who do not respond within that window accept automatic release of funds to the seller.
5. Dispute resolution
Either party may open a dispute once the shipment is marked delivered. Bringos will review evidence submitted by both sides and issue a binding decision within 10 business days. Decisions may include partial or full refund, release of funds, or split resolution.
6. Prohibited items
The following may not be listed or sourced through Bringos: weapons or weapon components; illegal drugs or controlled substances; counterfeit goods; stolen merchandise; any item whose shipment violates the export or import laws of the origin or destination country; and items containing lithium batteries above the carrier threshold for international shipping. Alcohol listings are pending corridor-specific legal review.
7. Account termination
Bringos may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for violations of these terms, including but not limited to fraud, abuse, repeated cancellations, failure to ship, or behaviour that threatens the safety or trust of the community.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of Bringos' operating entity. Specific jurisdiction and arbitration provisions will be confirmed at our corridor launch locations.
